Not So Secret Admirers | 1944

Josephine Baker in her World War II Uniform, c. 1945Josephine Baker with Her Cheetah, c.1930-32dbh04

Not a challenge, but a Flickr group run by a girl called Melissa – a HUGE fan and collector of vintage photography. I could get lost in here for hours. In fact…maybe I have. It has some truly amazing and unique vintage photography of dancers, musicians and enterainers and some great retro Swing Graphics. But even better she has included some fabulous portraits of the Black Pearl herself, Josphine Baker. That’s a little shout out to all the gals doing the Josephine routine with Sharon Davis. My personal favourite is the picture below, titled ‘Happy Feet’. Enjoy :)
